your full address and telephone number
payment details (credit or debit card)
the car make, model and registration
where and when you'd like the tyres to be fitted
You need to know Width, Profile, Diameter, Speed Rating

What do the numbers on the tyre sizes mean?
A: The first figures on the tyre size is width: the distance across the
tread of the tyre.
The second set of figures is the profile: the height of the tyre wall,
as a percentage of the width.
The letters are the speed rating: identifying the speed at which the
tyre can travel safely.
The third set of figures is the diameter: the size of wheel for which
the tyre is designed.
What is a tyre 'load index'?
A: The load index (or load rating/capacity) will appear as the final
numbers on your tyre rim, and indicates the maximum load that each tyre
can safely take. So the load rating of new tyres should be the same or
greater than the tyres you already have, or that are recommended by your
car manufacturer. Generally, the load index number for passenger cars
will range from about 80 to 100.
Q: Can AA Tyre Fit supply and fit motorcycle tyres?
A: No, we can only supply and fit tyres for cars and vans.
Q: Will AA Tyre Fit check all my tyres when at the time of fitting new
tyres?
A: Yes, we will check that all your tyres are within the legal requirements.
We are required to check that your vehicle is legally roadworthy and
will advise you if it is not.
Q: Can I cancel my Tyre Fit appointment?
A: If you need to cancel an appointment with our mobile service, call
us on 0800 587 4727 (calls may be recorded or monitored). If you have
booked an appointment with an AA Service Centre, please telephone the
centre where you made the appointment.
Q: How can I check if my tyres need replacing?
A: The law states that tyres in the UK should have a minimum tread depth
of at least 1.6mm throughout a continuous band comprising the centre
three quarters of the breadth of tread and round the entire circumference
of the tyre. Most vehicles have tread grooves that show when the tyre
has worn down to within 1.6mm of the remaining tread. If these indicators
appear level with the tread surface, the tyre should be changed immediately.
It can be very costly to neglect tyre wear. Not only do you put yourself
and other road users at risk, but you can be fined up to £1,000
per tyre.
Tyres wear out very quickly after the tread goes below 3mm. Consider
changing your tyres if they reach this level, especially before taking
your car on holiday.
If you call into an AA Service Centre, our staff will check your tyres
free of charge.
Check the legal position about tyres.
Q: Can I order tyres for more than one vehicle?
A: Yes. However for each vehicle, you must complete a separate online
order.
Q: Can AA Tyre Fit repair my tyres?
A: No. We provide only the combined supply/fitting service.
